Candy of course....They had a great desire to create and make candy.  So we all have a favorite candy right?...gummy bears, licorice, chocolate, taffy and so much more. But, why is it that on  Valentine's Day we associate giving a box of candy to our sweethearts? Is it to go with the tradition of the holiday ? Or so we don't look like we don't love our special someone? For whatever the reason is, we can say that we all love the taste of candy and chocolate. Whether you like dark, milk or white its all delicious. The process to make chocolate is quite a lengthy one. Its starts will picking the pods and taking out the seeds. Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Ingredients

• 16 ounces milk chocolate chips


• 2 tablespoons shortening

• 1 pound fresh strawberries with leaves

Directions

1. In a double boiler, melt the chocolate and shortening, stirring occasionally until smooth. Holding them by the toothpicks, dip the strawberries into the chocolate mixture.


2. Insert toothpicks into the tops of the strawberries.


3. Turn the strawberries upside down and insert the toothpick into styrofoam for the chocolate to cool.
